Sewing for him - warm winter jacket

What - super warm men's winter jacket
Pattern - self drafted
Materials - wool coating, flannel, fusible interfacing, wool batting and cotton-poly blend sturdy lining

The jacket is very basic and simple: with zipper and snap closure in front, two slashed pockets and a no stand turn-back collar.

I used 4 different kind of fusible interfacing. All the pieces were first fused with a medium weight knit fusible. Front pieces, back yoke, collar and cuffs were then fused with woven medium weight fusible, similar to this. A strip of lightweight woven non-stretch fusible was added where the pockets were sewn and finally I used fusible hair canvas for the undercollar.
Why fusible? It was invented so that lazy people aka. me, would use it. Or maybe it was the smartest thing ever?
You see, it's a everyday jacket, nothing fancy. Didn't really see the point to use sew-in interfacings.
Flannel in this case is used as wind blocker. Ouh yes, even good quality wool coating needs wind blocker, and flannel is great for it.

The jacket was first intended to have a double row button closure. Sadly, I have no idea where to get keyhole buttonholes done in my home town and I really didn't feel like taking a trip to Tallinn, thus enter the zipper and snaps! Looks just as good in my opinion.

I would like to give him a special shout-out for being such a good sport on picture taking day. No whining and complaining. :)
And I think he kinda likes his new jacket, based on his "yeah, it's ok" answer.
