Sallie - not so secret pajamas

What: one-piece pajamas

Pattern: Sallie by Closet Case Patterns, cut view B with modifications

Size cut: 10 for the bottom, 8 for the top

Materials used: floral printed jersey 98% cotton, 2% spandex; 4 cm wide elastic; 5cm wide crochet lace

This used to be a not finished sundress. It sat on my shelves for quite some time. It was a sewing project gone wrong! And now it got a new life in a much needed pajama. 

And since it was cut from a semi finished dress, the pattern placement may be odd. But hey, no one is really going to see it.

Hel's wedding gown

Back in the spring my friend surprised me with the news that she is getting married! My first reaction was 'I aint making your dress!'. Fast forward couple of weeks, I asked her, if I could see what kind of dress she wanted. Fast forward few more weeks I said finally said yes.

Why was I hesitant? Well, making a gown, a wedding gown, is a lot of work! And I am not comfortable with dressmaking. I know a bit about it, but I always fret that my skills wont be enough. And it's someones THE MOST IMPORTANT dress of all! You do not want to fuck that up!!!

Research - Sewing Lace

I have an upcoming project which includes sewing with lace, hence the title.

My experience with sewing lace is honestly very small. I've ever made or supervised making of two dresses with lace bodice. And on both underlining was used.

But what if the design you chose has no need for underling, but instead it favors your own skin showing trough? 

How you finish the seams? Or more importantly, how you join two details together without underlining to support the seam?
